After about 300 dead flies and 20 cups of hot tea, we are closing our house for the winter now. It has been a great first year here. A bit short maybe. Next year we hope to be able to spend more days like this here.

The bags are packed, the water off and the garden furniture in storage. Bye house, until next year.

Your aesthetic is so homey and comforting – but also inspiring. I really enjoy reading your blog.

  4. o jeg får sug i maven -don’t how to write that in english – but I so long for a place like yours – or like my parents summerhouse – somewhere off the grid where you can get lost in new ways. and drink 20 cups of tea.

Thanks for warming comments about our place :)

Mette, I feel very fortunate to have the house. I still have a hard time to belive it’s ours. Don’t know if I ever will. “Sug i maven” – låter bra ;)

I spent the spring and summer living vicariously through you and your family at your amazing house! I can’t wait until next year.

    Eran stuga är så fin…
Lång tid till sommarren, fast ni kanske kan använda den vinter tid?

I’ve just found your lovely blog and very much enjoy your beautiful photos. I absolutely love the tan leather bag on the chair in this post. Would you know who makes it?

It is nice to have a house that is a “getaway” place. One that you Open and Close like a book perhaps. There are special and unique and timeless things between the covers!

But what I really want to know, if possible, where did the elephant duvet cover come from? My daughter loves elephants and it is a beautiful pattern.

Hope, the bag is probably very old. It’s a vintage find I bough for about 10 years ago. The quality is amazing, still looks new. No label in it, sorry.

Rob, I did the elephant pattern a couple of years ago, for Mairo:
You can buy it here and there in the world, and on the web. Just google “Elephant + Mairo + Elisabeth Dunker”.
