Children’s book 2 – Grönsakslandet

Author and illustrator of this colorful book is Swedish Kerstin Bertoft. I haven’t been able to find more information about her more than that she was born 1929.

The book is from 1954. Spirit – Children eat more vegetables.
Another great cover by Kerstin.

Helt galet fint ju!

I like it a lot. There is some connection with it and your work…I don’t know exactly what it is but the feeling is there! ;-)

  7. That is a really cool style! I love the two-page veggie-town scene the most. I like the cover photo, too — the black background makes the cut-out shapes stand out nicely.

  8. o! i remember that book! and ever since you posted it last time, i have been looking for it, but 150 euros on that japanese site is a bit too much i think… pity!!! it’s really brilliant!!

So cute! And such a great theme. I’d love to see these beautiful old children’s books reproduced and with translations in multiple languages. Wouldn’t it be great if someone set up a business doing that?
