Magic creatures

What a master piece! Don’t know who made it (do you?), stole it from a FB friend (tack Camilla). UPDATE: The artwork is made by Swiss artist duo Peter Fischli & David Weiss for their 1983 single. Got the information from Martin – Thank you!

See more work from the duo + the backside of the cover here.

And the rather (nov 2011) new book Faces by Zoe Miller and David Goodman.

Find the lamps I blogged the other day, here.

Jessica Nielsen’s pillow covers.

I absolutely love the Miller/Goodman style, but the Liliput one above is just breathtaking!

    Hey SNAP Elisabeth…

I was about to blog this book too :)

We just visited our state gallery (The NGV) today and I bought it at the bookshop for my son. Such a coincidence!

It reminded me a lot of Sabine Timm’s work that you blogged about.

The shapes book was cute too, though we liked this one best. x

OH I love them both! thank you elisabeth! xo

  6. The Lilliput character that has the violet for his face is my favorite. He looks like he’s singing his heart out!

  7. Martin says:

…. hi Elisabeth, sent you a ‘wee’ update on the artwork via email.

    Great post!
What a coincidence, just yesterday I mentioned Liliput on my blog (in the beginning they were called Kleenex but they had to change their name for obvious reasons). Here’s the band in action :)

  10. Elisabeth says:

I’ll have to buy it too Deborah, for my birthday ;)

I like the leaves and blossom “painting” – I am very much drawn to green these days (end of winter) and as its still grey, cold and snowy on the mountain tops i turn to herbs, maybe lunch tomorrow will be Liliput-inspired :-)

I love the Faces! It’s so interesting to see how people put together pieces that seem to have nothing in common and yet create something completely different from them.

Thank you for the lamp link, Elizabeth! I fell in love with them right away and was disappointed when I found I couldn’t order them from the original site. Kudos!
