Had to snatch some pics on the Christmas table.
The Gustavsberg’s Christmas plates. Usually you find them cheap on fleas or on Auction sites. Popular on Japanes sites like this as well. The ceramic checkered jug is made by Marianne Hallberg.
Don’t know the origin, brand name or anything about the above plate, do you?

About 13 years we have celebrated Christmas in this house. My in-laws’ house. A so called Skånelänga – a typical farmhouse in the south of Sweden, built as a long thin building on a half-timber and brick frame, sometime in the late 1800′s.
Skånelängor currently for sale. Here and here for example Here is a cheaper one. While we’re on it, take a look at the amazing exterior of this house.
Tack igen M & L, för julen!

Rice pudding, Christmas tree and a little santa. A walk in the snow. Flowery walls and homemade Sherry from 1972. I don’t drink the liquor. But the Sherry tastes good. And the chocolate. We listen to Christmas music, and to Hendel. For a split second it feels like I’m someone in Downtown Abbey. And the kids were really excited for their Christmas gifts, for real. Oh the idyll. How good it feels.
A set of, by me unseen photos of the Genius Charles and Ray Eames. (Tack Finn)
