The summer is nice to us. I’ve been spending a lot of times here, occupied with things like this.
Before this day is over I wanted to share with you who the two lucky winners of the wallpapers from the project Curated by Fine Little Day are. The collaboration with Swedish Photowall. About a year ago I introduced you to my new pattern GRAN (fir in Swedish). I had dressed pillow cases in it, as well as a wallpaper (here at Suki’s, Varpunen walls). Today I want to show you a new GRAN product. It’s a baby blanket in soft cotton. One with yellow edge and one with grey. Hope you’ll like it.
Another new product in the Fine Little Day Shop is the hanging cradle. Braided by hand by women in Bangladesh who come from situations of poverty. Trade and manufacture of the cradle helps to enhance the capabilities of the women and their families. Fair Trade.

Last year I was invited to take part in this great book Little Paper Planes: 20 Artists Reinvent the Childhood Classic. Super creator Kelly Lynn Jones (artist and curator, San Francisco), the brain behind the online community Little Paper Planes and Chronical Books made the book come true. Twenty artist – Gemma Correll, Julia Rothman, Lisa Congdon, Alyson Fox for example have been invited to interpret the meaning of a paper plane, creating own versions of paper planes. versions. The designs are gathered in this book.

I adore paper planes. When I was young my Dad would take us to the park and he’d make a propeller using a Moreton Bay Fig leaf (I grew up in Brisbane, Australia). He’d rip the sides and then make a whole in the middle with a match stick. We’d then hold the stick and run and the propellor would move quickly in circles. Prux.
