Mogu Takahashi is here!

My dear friend Mogu Takahashi arrived to Sweden, Gothenburg yesterday for her exhibition at our place, starting on Saturday 10 October. Jet lagged but full of energy anyway she’s started with her work in the studio. It all look awesome as usual. If you’re in the neighborhood you can not miss this show!

Oct 10 – Nov 7 2015

Japanese artist and architect, Mogu Takahashi (born 1984 Tokyo) has never been a person walking in someone else trodden footsteps. Spontaneous and playful, she throws herself over drawing, painting, sculpture and a variety of other visual forms of expression. Her wonderfully, childlike work come out of a practice of drawing that never stops, a steady outpouring of playful imagery.

Takahashi takes interest in handicraft and often takes on different low-tech, second hand material in an individual way. Her whimsical, imagined world, with colorful characters that run wild, has a strong narrative and intuitive sense. Mogu Takahashi’s distinctive pictorial world has been highlighted and praised by celebrities like Todd Selby and MoMA Design Store. Takahashi is a bright, shining star and is recurrent in international press and has a ever-growing crowd of followers in social media.

Tokyo, New York, Paris, London, Barcelona are some of the world cities Mogu Takahashi exhibited in over the years. In October 2015 Fine Little Day Studio has the honor to arrange an exhibition with Mogu Takahashi in Lindome, Sweden.

Opening on October 10th, 12.00-17.00
